Mr. Abraham A. Garcia, Jr. is one among three UP Mindanao faculty members shortlisted as Ford Fellows-elect for the next academic year.
Garcia, or Sir Abe to his students, is Lecturer 1 — handling courses in Design Fundamentals, Photography: Theory and Practice, and Print Media Production — for the Communication Arts Program. He also works full-time for the Office of Research.
Aside from Garcia, Prof. Jose Jowell Canuday of the Department of Social Science of the College of Humanities and Social Sciences, and Prof. Ligaya Rubas of the School of Management are among the 35 Ford Fellows-elect chosen for the next academic year. They are currently working on the requirements specified by the Ford Foundation for the scholarships.
